First time ordering the food was excellent! Nice smoke flavor. The ribs were very tender. Brisket was delicious as well. Looking forward to trying other items we will be back for sure..

My food was absolutely AMAZING! Hands down the best ribs I've had in years. Mac n cheese was made perfectly. The candy yams taste like somebody's great grandmother mad them. The cornbread was really good as well.... now I'M TIRED Lol
First let me say, 3 stars for atmosphere is because the place isn't set up to look pretty. I think that the owner is just focused on the food. The Collard Greens was the first thing I tried. It felt like I was in my Grandma's kitchen!! I'm a North Carolina girl, so those of you that know, know. My husband who's answer to everything is uumm, told me how good the catfish was before I asked for his input. The meets had a rich, tender, smoky taste. I really wish I'd gotten a BBQ Sandwich. I am sure it would be a little piece of heaven. The Yams were delicious. Just sweet enough. Perfect! The owner and a young man I think he was training were the only two there working, so have patience. The orders were rolling in. It will be worth the wait.
Village BBQ in Merrick absolutely knocked it out of the park. The ribs were perfection — incredible flavor and beautifully tender meat. Even my very picky son said they were the best ribs he’s ever had, which says a lot. The brisket was excellent as well, with a great bark and outstanding taste. If you’re someone who only likes ultra-lean brisket, this might not be your thing, but for everyone else it was truly spectacular. The mac and cheese was a bit on the dry side, but that’s clearly the style here. If you like super creamy, wet mac and cheese, this may not be your side — but it was still well made and intentional. Big shout-out to the owner for letting me try the oxtail — it was absolutely superb and will 100% be my next order. Fantastic food, great experience, and I’ll definitely be back. If you want, I can make a shorter Yelp-style version, a Google Maps optimized version, or punch it up with a little more BBQ flair.Is this conversation helpful so far?
Owner is super nice and friendly, more of an “Order Online” place due to the small seating. Beef Brisket Bomb was good, wasn’t aware on what was on it. I think if they displayed what was on each meal like they do online it would be better. Fair prices as well, the Owner Mr, Randy was super friendly when we walked in and greeted us. I most definitely recommend
Food is good here. I would definitely return. BBQ chicken was tender and tasty. Cornbread is real good. Beef ribs are very good but very expensive. They have a lot of flavor but too much fat for the price. Meal came out to $37. Would not get the ribs again.
Amazing Food!!!! I had the brisket and pernil pork meal with mac and cheese, French fries, and corn on the cob, and everything was absolutely delicious! The meats were so tender and flavorful, practically falling apart with every bite. The sides were the perfect complement, and you could taste the care in every dish. On top of that, the service was wonderful—attentive and friendly. A must-visit for anyone who loves great BBQ and a welcoming atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back!
We got the family meal with 2 meats - fried chicken and brisket. The brisket was fall-apart tender and delicious and the chicken was also delicious. The sweet potato fries and mac salad were very good; string beans were ok. It's a small, mainly take-out restaurant. The employees were very nice - they called me to clarify something I had ordered to be sure it would be right. We will definitely order there again.
